I love college baseball. I realize it isn't the best sport and many people despise it because of aluminum bats but you give the kids the option. Go pro but if you go to college you must stay 3 years.
Do you realize how small of a minority you are in there? Look around dude, it's rare to see a regular season college baseball game on TV, and even the playoffs aren't watched by many people. People don't watch because the best players go pro out of high school.
You guys seem to be confused about the rules. There's nothing that says any player has to play in college. It says they aren't eligible for the NFL draft until they've been out of high school for 3 years. Jadeveon Clowney could have left to play for a CFL team after his first year of college ball if he so desired. Hell, he could have taken a job at McDonald's for three years and then entered the draft.
It isn't the COLLEGES that don't allow them to turn pro, it's the NFL. It's their rules, and it's in place to keep kids from getting themselves hurt playing against grown men. The NFL has no desire to create a "minor league," and if you're a college football fan AT ALL then that is the LAST thing you want to see.
