I know there's a lot of controversy surrounding events that happened years ago in Atlanta, but I can't help but greatly admire Ray Lewis as a football player. Listening to him talk about life and football is just fascinating. I'm not sure there's anyone who has ever loved the game any more than him. The game will miss him. Respect him even more for his reasons for retiring. No doubt he can still play. But he said that being injured this season gave him the opportunity to see his oldest son play every Friday, and it was the first time he had ever been able to do that. Said it was a bittersweet moment, because he loves playing the game, but he wants to be there for his sons.

Every time the titans were good he crushed the dream. But he was fun to watch when he wasn't trying to kill Eddie or CJ

His past was a little shady but he's become quite the role model IMO.
I wish him well.

GTFO and don't let the door hit ya on the way. Ed Reed can join him.

"Johnny, we're going to kick your ass today." -UK Coach Fran Curci to UT Coach Johnny Majors before Curci's last game.
Final score....UK 21 - UT 10

Im with you 100%. After the incident in Atlanta that did or didnt happen, Ray Lewis has been a class act. I dont know how you could ever fault a guy for picking being more active in his kids life over continuing to be a superstar in the NFL. Some of my best memories of him are matching up against Peyton Manning and watching them audible countless times trying to best each other. The game will miss Ray Lewis for sure.

Josh Bynes will make sure that Baltimore doesn't realize Ray is gone next year.
I kept failing a math test at the University of Alabama because every time I added 5+3 I got 8 and they kept insisting that the right answer was 14.
