Seriously, we are going to be the only 3 teams that make the dance.
And even that is going to be predicated on the preseason expectations, not on anything we've done as a group.

To add this this, our seeding is going to be atrocious too.
The way we look right now, the SEC will be lucky to get 1 team into the Sweet16.

The difference is there are 3 good teams in basketball and there are 3 bad teams in football and that bad is by SEC standards. Even the worst team in the conference would finish bowl eligible in another conference.

UGA, Auburn, South Carolina, and Miss St are all pretty terrible.
Cocks aren't as bad as the other three. I think you meant Vandy. Vandy is probably the worst. We only lost to Illinois @ Chicago by 2. I think we'll upset a couple teams this year.
Auburn Football 2014: 11-2 (6-2)

I knew the SEC never was that good at basketball but I never remembered it being that bad. I didn't realize how bad the SEC actually was until this season.
This is a historic low.
We had 2 Final Four teams in 2006, and neither was Kentucky.
Just a couple of years ago there were 8 or 9 good teams in the conference.
We should be getting better results from UK, Bama, Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss to an extent.

This is the worst the SEC has been in a long time. Vandy and Miss st lost their prize teams and are now bottom dwellers. Bama and UT have been a dissapointment, and we are even struggling. I was impressed with our performance against louisville. Lost by 3 and went 10/22 from free throw. Sad but impressive

USC has a decent win record right now, but we haven't really played anyone. The SEC slate is about to begin, and we'll see then how poor our team is this season. We also seem to have lost senior PG LaShay Page to academics, and he only transferred for his final year to help us with the backcourt depth. Most Gamecock fans are only hoping for improvement in the discipline and teamwork of the team. Win expectations will come next year perhaps....
As to the OP and Bama, it's got to sting just a little to see your former HC (that the fanbase on here at least wanted run out of town) now at NCSU taking them to the Sweet 16 last season and having them in the top 25. It would be as bad I suppose as us seeing Darrin Horn leading a top 25 team this season somewhere...

Forget whatever sunshine Conway is trying to pump up in here. But we are still hot garbage. Hot garbage on the rise, but hot garbage nontheless.
