Some observations....

- refs made two HORRIBLE calls/non calls.  Just before the half against Goodwin.  Dude got decapataded and Noel got pulled down by his arm with :35 seconds left and a walk was called.  Neither of which cost us the game.

- shoot 14/22 from the line and you win the game.

- Harrow is good and gunna get much better.

- Siva is a decent PG at best.

- YUM Center was rocking....typical for a UK road game.

- Pitino showed MUCH class in post game news conference.  Bravo!

- Noel is a top 2/3 pick easily.

- Cauley-Stein is going to be a beast, but should stay another year.

- Poythress better get serious...and quick.

- Goodwin is a great scorer but needs to RELAX.

- Behannon is a good player but is a dick.

- UNC vs Duke has NOTHING on UK vs UofL, game and atmosphere was off the hook.

- Cats will be the better team in March.  I guarantee it.

- UK will win the SEC, SEC Tourney and make a real run at the FF.  I'll say will be there in CATlanta!

If that's the best Louisville's got, then they are gonna be in trouble come March. We still have a lot of work to do.

Let's be honest UK fans...UofL has the better team at this point in the season. I don't think any of us deep down inside is surprised that we lost. I am surprised that as crappy as we looked we only lost by 3. And as has been said, if we hit free throws, we win. None of that matters, because we lost. I don't want rival fans to read this and think that I'm talking about a moral victory. that. We lost to Louisville. Not acceptable, but not surprising. My point is that we HAVE shown improvement over the month of December after the Notre Dame and Baylor debacles. Harrow DID look much improved and more poised. Still has work to do, especially handling on-ball pressure that Louisville did an excellent job of providing. Pitino's gameplan was known by all, press, play rough and aggressive, and force us to beat them outside. His plan worked. The refs sucked, let's be honest. They didn't cost us the game though. 3 UofL stars were in foul trouble and Siva even hit the bench. So I'd say at least it was somewhat even in the crap calls.

The bottom line is our defense needs to get it's collective ass in gear, and they better be shooting free throws this week til their eyes bleed.
