This is a long series (11 parts) but it points out facts about the Great Pyramid (GP) in Giza that are pretty curious. Forgive me for not laying this out so that it's easier to read, but for whatever reason, I don't have full editing capability (Windows 8?). Anyway, consider: 1) Egyptologists insist the GP of Giza was built in 20 years as a tomb. 2) Over 2 million blocks, some weighing 70 tons had to be transported 500 miles and set. 3) The only tools available 4700 years ago were copper chisels, rock, and hemp rope, yet they carved irregular sized blocks perfectly. 4) The Pyramid is set to within .05 degrees of magnetic north or from longitude 0. The Royal Greenwich Observatory in London, aka The Meridian Building upon which defines Prime Meridian or modern day calendars/clocks, etc... was designated in 1884, is .25 degrees from magnetic north because it's just that difficult to accomplish. Keep in mind, everyone supposedly believed the earth was flat. 5) In the 1960's, it took 5 years to move a temple (saving it from floods) that consisted of 2200 blocks (up to 30 tons each), yet the GP with over 2 million blocks up to 70 tons each was built in 20 years with copper tools and rope. 6) Around the same time in the 60's, it took 12 years just to fill a hole the size of the GP using dump trucks that worked around the clock. (new paragraph) If you have some time over your break, check out some of these videos. I'm not touting any conclusions or trying to open up great existential arguments, although I have my beliefs. This is just an amazing analysis of architecture and engineering that go beyond simple explanation. If nothing else, it challenges us to reconsider what we don't know and points out huge technological gaps in our history. Also, if you watch the series, it points out a curious line that circumnavigates the globe which connects many of the archeological wonders such as Easter Island, Petra, Persepolis, Khajuraho, Angkor Wat, etc... (1:12:00 in the Revelation of the Pyramids video). Here are the sites: The Truth About the Pyramids (11 videos): ; The Revelation of the Pyramids:

You should read the book "Fingerprints of the Gods". Bit of a long book that starts out slow but gets REALLY interesting after about the 2nd chapter. It covers a lot of the ancient sites in detail, so it obviously goes into great detail about the Pyramids. One thing you didn't mention is how so many of the corridors are lined up very specifically to different astronomical bodies...and how the 3 great pyramids along with some other things are a map of some astronomical bodies as they lined up 10,500 years ago. And there are signs of water erosion on the Great Sphinx...in an area that didn't receive that type of rainfall for many millennia.
