"With the departure of Miami wide receivers coach George McDonald to Arkansas, head coach Al Golden has begun the search for a replacement. Among the list of candidates is ex-Auburn wide receivers coach, Trooper Taylor."

Would be a sad and drastic fall from the Plains to Miami, but can't argue that he would fit right in down there.

Now that he's no longer an Auburn guy, how did you Barners really feel about Trooper?  Slimy dbag or just misunderstood?

"Whenever I see those crimson jerseys and crimson helmets, I feel humbled to have played football for Alabama. Other players in the NFL talk to me about their schools and their traditions. I just smile knowing the immense love Alabama fans have for our school and its football program. I'm proud to be a part of that Crimson Tide heritage."

I think it's somewhere in between the two. He's not as bad as some say he is but he is shady, just look at his list of job offers......none. He plays the father figure thing in recruiting way too much and then once the players get in campus he is to much of their friend than coach. I think he is an awful coach though.

Miami Football is not the story. Trooper Taylor is the story here. So why is Miami the first GD word in the title? You make it sound like Miami Football called Trooper Taylor and tried to get Trooper from Auburn. Just STFU.

S&C for championship football at UGA has returned to the proven Kasay way.

WTF does Saban have to do with this story? The story, as I see it, is that the Clemson and Alabama admissions would not accept him and that South Carolina did accept him. True or not, that is the story and the first GD word you use is"Saban".Plus you word it to make it seem like Saban called Clemson. Just STFU.

Still feel like he's misunderstood. Big personality = big target.

Great recruiter, good coach. Would be a nice hire for Miami.

I lulz at "misunderstood". Sounded like Dr Phil.
