The Clemson Tigers are coming off of a successful season that saw their record end at 11-2. They're set up for another run through the ACC as they enter a true non-conference contest against the Bulldogs. If they want to finally make a name for themselves and end up in Pasadena this January, there is no better test than the reining SEC-East champions of Georgia. The Tigers return stellar play makers in both Sammy Watkins and QB Tajh Boyd back under center. This lethal combination of firepower gives them all the ammunition they need to keep up in a high scoring affair. If the defense will answer the challenge, we could be in store for one of the most entertaining games of the young season.
Key players to watch:
With a burst of speed and tremendous balance, look for Gurley to run wild on the Clemson defense. If Gurley and the running game gets going early, this could be a long night for the Clemson Tigers.
The engine to the Clemson attack, Boyd will be the reason for Clemson to come away with a win on Saturday. If he is able to spread the Georgia secondary out and make some big passes. The momentum could lead the Tigers to a huge first win of the season.
