Too many 9+ win teams for anyone without 9 wins to go higher than MCB. If Florida/Georgia don't get a BCS game we are probably looking at a 9 win Texas A&M team in December in NashvillleEDIT: Forgot the Gator Bowl.

Vandy goes to the Liberty bowl or Shreveport. Nobody wants them or their poor following. The bowls want to make money.

Alabama (13-0) BCSNCG
Florida (11-1) BCS At Large (Sugar)
Georgia (11-2) Citrus
LSU (10-2) Cotton
South Carolina (10-2) Hall of Fame
Texas A&M (9-3) Peach
Ole Miss (7-5) Music CityMississippi State (8-4) Liberty
Tennessee (7-5) Birmingham
Vanderbilt (6-6) Independence
I will recognize title sponsors when they pay ME.
So...
Mississippi State (8-4) Gator
Ole Miss (7-5) Music City
Tennessee (7-5) Liberty
Vanderbilt (6-6) Birmingham
Unfilled: Independence.
If Georgia/Florida don't get a BCS game, everyone moves down one except Ole Miss who stays in the MCB this year (State went last year, Tennessee the year before, Vandy can't sell enough tickets) and State would drop to the Liberty.

as has already been said by many media outlets, if carolina wins the last stretch of 4 straight to finish 10-2, and florida loses to florida state and georgia loses in title game, then well have a longer stretch of wins going into the post season. for the sugar, you only have to be within one win of the team ahead of you. also, the sugar bowl officials have said as much...
outside the sugar, i dont see us falling as far as the gator...
that said, we wont be in the outback because of our poor showing during our last time in tampa...

Poor following... Vandy had 40k+ at the liberty bowl last year. I think we could equal that at a real bowl... Gator or Peach (assuming 8-4)

wouldn't that put y'all in NO and BR in the same year? wouldn't that put y'all in Louisiana twice in a year's time?

IF FSU & Clemson win against UF & SC; it's a done deal...
IF UF beats FSU, they are pretty much assured a BCS invite
things just got very interesting
there are 3 'at large" invites out there & Notre Dame WILL get one of those if they lose only to USC.
NOBODY in the Big 10 will get one
The SEC looks solid on getting 2 teams, even if we are not in the MNG, but it COULD get dicey...
it LOOKS like the PAC 12 will have a 2nd plac e team with 3 losses (unless Stanford or OR State beat Oregon OR UCLA runs the table) - OUT
Big 12 - either Oklahoma or Texas has to run the table, if one of them does - probably IN
ACC, if FSU & Clemson win against their SEC in state rivals - IN
whudda thunk it? Let's just say that it is a VERY good thing for our conference that Louisville got beat and that there is no undefeated "Cinderella" this year...

with 10 teams going, it would be almost impossible for the Gators to miss out with only 1 loss...

You guys need to win out, and then root for Ole Miss to beat Miss State. If that happens, you might be Atlanta-bound. MSU is your main competition in the bowl pecking order right now.
Here's how I think it'll play out...
BCS NCG - Oregon vs Kansas State
Rose - Notre Dame vs Nebraska
Fiesta - LSU vs Oklahoma
Sugar - Alabama vs Clemson
Orange - Florida State vs Louisville
Capital One - Georgia vs Michigan
Cotton - Texas A&M vs Texas
Outback - Florida vs Wisconsin
Gator - South Carolina vs Northwestern
Chick-Fil-A - Mississippi State vs Virginia Tech
Music City - Vanderbilt vs Georgia Tech
Liberty - Missouri vs Tulsa
No bowls for Kentucky, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee and POTENTIALLY Ole Miss...Rebels need a win and their last two games are LSU and MSU...Possible but difficult.
Independence - Ole Miss (? - they need one more win and it's not certain vs LSU and MSU...)
