Texas A&M jumps into the top ten with their impressive win over Mississippi State. A&M finds themselves one spot ahead of Georgia despite one more loss on the strength of a 70 point advantage in scoring margin over the Bulldogs. A closer look at the teams reveals they both have ran the score up on some weaker teams and that the real difference shows up in the losses. A&M's both were by a combined 8 where UGA's one loss was by 28. This coupled with two close wins against average to bad teams by UGA gives A&M a slight edge in the poll.

18. (-6) Mississippi State...1256.60
44. (+1) Missouri...............1219.56

90. (+6) Auburn.................1138.85
96. (-3) Kentucky...............1129.44
Nothing is really surprising for the teams outside of the top 10. Some may wonder at Missouri and Tennessee both moving up but this has more to do with these teams essentially holding still and teams above them losing.
Don't look now but Arkansas is quietly moving back towards mediocre after starting the season as terrible.
This weeks projections (home advantage +2.5 points) (LW 6-2)

Arkansas 13, South Carolina 24
Missouri 18, Tennessee 20
Texas A&M 18, Alabama 27
Georgia 24, Auburn 13

Edit: I for one like seeing these rankings, it's a unique look at something that doesn't factor in public opinion.

I'm sure you would. But then again if you were a betting man then you'd have lost money the past two weeks in a row.
