Homer of the Year, Round 1

Alright folks, this is where we cut the crap and get down to business.
Some heavweight matchups right from the get go.
The winner of the No.1 v No.6 matchups is allowed a bye during the next round.

Poll will be open a full week. We want to make sure there's no controversial finishes- no SEC refs allowed.

Remember, some of these guys are hot right now, some have made the tourney based on preseason expectatons, some have a well-rounded homer resume.
Vote with your gut. This is why we play the games.

Get to it.

Like I said in the other thread, he's the only person I can think of who would watch his team get beat by 4 TD's then two weeks later argue that his team is still better.

Or lose to the same team three years in a row and think the same thing.
Not gonna lie, I voted for Krieg based on his wonderful contributions to the more "perverted" parts of the forum  .

How is HNB only a two seed? Has anyone ever read his posts. I predict he will win every round in a landslide.

Y'all underestimate RammaJamma and MrGameCockFan
I'm still annoyed that Boba or I are not the Vol in this tourney, but Hogan would beat us both anyway
I made a name bet that Tennessee would beat State by 7 or more in Starkville. Who the Original Image: http://www.sectalk.c.../lanekiffin.gif does that? a Trollmer that's who.
Hogan parlayed his homerism into a modship. Beat that
this is a joke. how can seccats be a homer? hes a kentucky fan whats he going to be a homer for? his 3 basketball titles since the 70's? hell thats no better than arizona or indianna. garbage. they need to go to division 2 where they belong.

Come on people, I picked Mizzou to go undefeated for crying out loud.

The red states (Alabama fans) are going to severely alter this election.

thats not being a homer, its being stupid
A match-up between Hob and Hogan would be the match of the century.
The_Krieg won't win homer of the year, but we at least need to make a "loses the most amount of money betting on his team" award so he walks away with something.
How did W00k get on there? I had no idea who he rooted for (besides the Preds), for a very long time.

When the nominations were taking place someone must've thought we said "stoner" of the year
Since it doesn't look like I will be able to win, I will let y'all know that I made that vote for Mizzou to go undefeated today.
i won't be listed in any of these until they have old folks homer of the year.
Anybody up for doing "SECTalk's most rational/turn-coat fan"?

I think it would be a great idea.
I just want to remind everyone that Gene Chizik has more combined undefeated seasons as a defensive coordinator and head coach than Nick Saban. That's all for now.

Good point. The Chiz is possibly the greatest gravy-trainer of all time......

and why not me and hnb?

awesome posts guys...im dying here!

on another note, is it really being a homer to call for a 12-2 season this year, and end up 11-2? doesnt really matter though, i know that were better than georgia right now, and watching them constantly try to rationalize that is always funny to me. next year is ours though...i say 14-0! we'll finally have a trophy to add alongside the 2 baseball national titles. and a couple more years from now, frank martin will be adding some more hardware to the trophy case!

eat it dog fans, you stink is worse than ugas and were simply better right now!

Your simply being a homer right now (seems fitting) UGA's O-line was weak when we played USC. Next year the O-Line will be a strong point. Plus we return most of the offense from this year. Remember also your coming fo Sanford next year. There will be no clucking in the Dawghouse. We will be serving deep fryed Gamecock come 9/07/2013 next year.... I'll save you a plate.
